alleviating credit card debt

Hello All,

My name is Bryan and this is my first blog posting.....so forgive me if there are problems. I am writing this because I have credit card debt and I heard from an old land-lord that there was a way to continuosly write to the credit card company asking to be told my balance. The credit card company would respond. I should then send another inquiry to the same, asking how much I owed. After do this (?) amount of times the credit card company would stop responding and and I would then wait a (?) specified amount of time. I would then have to do something or write someone to tell them that the ccc did not respond to my inquiries, therefore the debt was no longer valid and would be erased from my credit report. Does any one have knowledge of this "trick" ? If so would you be so kind as to lead me in the right direction.
